Valor Mortis Bosses
Ten bosses, all on the critical path, with no optional fights and no post-game superbosses.
Confirmed facts on this page carry their sources.
Every boss in Valor Mortis is part of the story, and each one drops a trophy. Most have two full health bars, most can be parried until they flash red, and almost all of them are easier with a weak spot exposed first.

What there is not
There are no optional bosses and no post-game superboss. Chapter 10 has no boss at all, and the Chapter 1 encounter with Lothaire is a scripted loss rather than a fight you can win.
Preparation that applies to most fights
- Weak spots first. A firearm shot into a weak spot fills the stagger bar far faster than melee trades.
- Match the Transmutation. Fire for most enemies, Stasis for the ones immune to it, Shield for the unblockable-heavy late fights.
- Rest before, not during. A Lantern restores the flask and repopulates the area, so enter with a full flask.
- Expect two bars. Going in knowing the health bar refills once changes how you spend resources.
