Valor Mortis Ambers
Twenty-eight unique Ambers, fifty-six pickup locations, and one entry that sources disagree about.
Confirmed facts on this page carry their sources.
Ambers are this game's equipment: they do not add flat defence, they change an effect — healing, damage after a parry, Nephtoglobin recovery. You equip them at a Lantern, so swapping for a boss or a terrain gate costs nothing but a rest.

Duplicates and upgrades
Fifteen of the 28 can be upgraded toward level 3 by finding a duplicate pickup, but duplicates are not required for any trophy. The Ambersmith trophy only asks for the 28 uniques at least once, so a completion run needs one of each and nothing more.
The disputed 29th entry
One third-party list contains an extra Amber entry named Warrior's Fury that no other source reproduces, and it is not required for the Ambersmith trophy. Treat it as unverified until an in-game check confirms it.
Ambers whose effects could be verified
| Name | Reported effect |
|---|---|
| Bountiful Harvest | Nephtoglobin Remnants also restore Health. |
| Limit Break | Converts excess healing from a Ferrofluid Flask into temporary additional Health. |
| Equivalent Exchange | Sacrifice Health when Nephtoglobin is depleted. |
| Potent Concoction | Using a Ferrofluid Flask restores Nephtoglobin as well as Health. |
| Lunatic's Grasp | Speeds up ignite and stasis buildup at the cost of lower resistance to those effects. |
| Dilated Moment | Makes firearms consume Endurance — the key Amber for Gun and Sword builds. |
