FAQ

Valor Mortis FAQ

Short, sourced answers to what players actually ask about the game.

Confirmed facts on this page carry their sources.

This page collects the questions that come up repeatedly across the wiki and the planners. Anything that is a dispute between sources is stated as such.

Release and game basics

QuestionAnswer
When did Valor Mortis release?13 October 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It launched on Game Pass the same day, and Japan got it on 14 October local time.
Who developed and published it?Developed by One More Level, the Kraków studio behind Ghostrunner, and published by Lyrical Games.
What type of game is it?A first-person Soulslike action RPG set in a supernatural version of the Napoleonic Wars, built around parry timing and posture breaks.
Is there multiplayer or co-op?No. It is a single-player game with no co-op or PvP component.
Which languages does the game support?English voice acting with 14-15 interface and subtitle languages, including Polish, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian and both Chinese scripts.
What are the system requirements and the price? The standard edition is 39.99 USD / EUR and the Deluxe Edition is 59.99, which includes a story DLC planned for 2027. PC requirements are published on the official store listing; this site does not reprint hardware figures it cannot verify, so check the store page for the current minimum and recommended specs.

Completion and missables

QuestionAnswer
How long does Valor Mortis take to finish?About 20 hours for the story, and roughly 15-25 hours for a full completion run depending on skill.
How many chapters and bosses are there?11 chapters and 10 bosses. Chapter 10 has none, and the Chapter 1 Lothaire encounter is a scripted loss.
Is anything missable? One trophy: Abyssal Eviction, which needs Shield at level 5 and only two max-level materials exist. One side quest, The Choir, is time-limited but gives no trophy reward.
Can I finish everything after the story?Yes. Beating the final boss returns you near the final Lantern with free travel to every region and all quests still completable. Entropy closes behind you, so clean that area up first.
Is there a difficulty setting or New Game+?No difficulty options, and New Game+ is not available at launch; the studio has said it is planned for a later 2026 patch.

Planning and tools

QuestionAnswer
What do the three planners do that a wiki does not? They filter by your actual state instead of listing everything. The Progress Planner splits remaining work by availability, the Choice Protector warns you before a branch, and the Completion Roadmap orders the leftover trips.
Do the planners need my account or save data? No. They run entirely in your browser and store your selections in local storage. There is no login, no sync and no save-file access.
Why is an item marked unverified?Because only one source reports it or the wording cannot be checked against the game yet. Unverified entries are labelled and kept out of tool recommendations.

About this site

This is an unofficial fan resource, not affiliated with One More Level or Lyrical Games. It exists because the useful question in a finite Soulslike is not what is in the game, but what should I do next.

Found an error? Every entity on the site is versioned, so a correction is a one-line change to its record.
